8:00 a.m. departure from your Windhoek hotel, returning around 5:00 p.m. on day 3. Travel time ~3.5 hours on ~360 km of tar road. We drive to the Atlantic coast and the old German colonial town of Swakopmund, whose colonial architecture is reminiscent of an old German seaside resort. On arrival your guide gives a short orientation tour of the city’s sights, which you can then explore on your own.

Stroll through town, walk on the beach, visit the largest collection of minerals and gemstones in the Crystal Gallery, and choose your activities — scenic flights, quad biking, catamaran trips, kayaking, fishing, skydiving, sandboarding, paragliding, desert excursions and more.
