ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK

3 Days & 2 nights

Departure from Windhoek 08h00 – arrival back in Windhoek on day 3 around 18h00.

Driving time about 5 hrs on +/- 480 km tarred road

Welcome to the Living Theater! The best you have ever seen! Etosha National Park spans over 22.270 sq km and is one of the world’s greatest wildlife-viewing venues. There is an abundance of animals from big elephants to the smallest antelope. Etosha has it all. Enjoy 2 days of game driving in this magnificent animal kingdom. Animals are most active in the cool of the day – early morning and late afternoon – and we will imitate their behaviour by driving slowly from waterhole to waterhole thus increasing our chances for good viewings.

SOSSUSVLEI

3 Days/2 Nights

Depart at around 08h00 from Windhoek – return to Windhoek on day 3 and arrive at around 13h00.

Driving time 4,5 hours    and    +/- 340 km

En route to the dunes we take the road less traveled through the hills of the Kupferberg and the Spreetshoogte Pass, which is well worth the adventure and scenery. With the wind blowing the grass heads in the sun you will be fascinated by the breathtaking views. As we approach the Sossusvlei area, the dunes spread out before us in an awe-inspiring beauty. The next day we head for the Sossusvlei itself. An early morning rise will be rewarded by the sight of the spectacular dunes at Sossusvlei, which is a huge clay pan and giant sand dunes arrayed in magnificent hues of orange, pumpkin and sienna tower over this vast dry pan. Thereafter we pay a visit to the million year old Sesriem Canyon, which is about 1 km long. Sesriem means “six rawhide thongs”. Following our return at the lodge, you can optionally take part in a sun downer drive. The next morning return to Windhoek. However, if you feel like floating above the satin sands of the Namib Desert, you can optionally still participate in a balloon safari.

Drive to the picturesque coastal town of Swakopmund. Upon arrival your guide will take you on an orientation tour. The places of interest are shown to you so that you can explore them yourself during the following days. The morning of day 3 is at leisure. The city resembles a small German town and is an example of German colonial architecture. Swakopmund manages to create a feeling of timelessness with its palm-lined streets, seaside promenades, restaurants, cafes, art galleries and museums. The real action, however, happens in the surrounding desert. Quad-biking, sand-boarding, sand-skiing, parasailing and other adrenaline inducing activities are available. Join a dolphin & seal cruise in Walvis Bay or explore the lagoon on a kayak tour.
