Red Earth Safaris was founded in 2008 by Alexandra Sacharow from Hamburg. Red Earth Safaris is an NTB (Namibian Tourism Board) registered tour operator and Alexandra is a member of TAN (Tour Guide Association of Namibia). Alexandra speaks German, English & Afrikaans and has lived in southern Africa for over 20 years. During this time she worked in tourism, built and managed lodges and was a freelance tour guide before founding her own company – Red Earth Safaris in October 2008. Even as a little girl she dreamed of a life in southern Africa. Hatari, Daktari and Grzimek “Serengeti must not die” contributed a lot to this. Her dream became reality and today she is happy to share her extensive knowledge about the country, its people and the local flora and fauna with others. With great attention to detail, she creates safaris tailored to your wishes and is happy about every new Namibia fan! It started with an old VW T3 bus, which was replaced by a new VW T5 in 2012. In May 2017 the company expanded with another VW T5 bus. A Toyota Landcruiser is now also part of the team! In addition to Alexandra, the drivers are freelance, experienced & highly motivated tour guides who look forward to bringing you closer to beautiful Namibia!
