To reach your destination today, the old German colonial town of Swakopmund, you have to cross the oldest desert in the world – the Namib. This extends along the entire coastal strip. If you’re traveling in an air-conditioned car, you can easily do this in 1.5 hours. The settlers at that time traveled in ox wagons for around 12 days and had to endure the scorching heat while carrying scarce water reserves with them.
Swakopmund is usually significantly cooler than the interior and features palm-lined streets and a beach promenade. Numerous, well-preserved colonial architecture contributes to the seaside resort flair. However, with an average temperature of 12 degrees, the Atlantic is only suitable for tough swimmers.
Numerous good restaurants offer, among other delicacies, the famous Namibian oysters.
Your guest house is centrally located and impresses with cheerful colors, modern furnishings and very friendly staff!
Travel time about 2.5 hours on approx. 60 km of gravel road. And 120 km of tarred roads.
The next day is open for desired activities.

Here you can take a very interesting and educational desert tour, a catamaran trip, a sightseeing flight, quad biking in the dunes, sandboarding, paragliding & skydiving. A kayak tour among the seals in Walvis Bay is also an absolute highlight!
We would be happy to book your desired activities for you in advance!
