Erindi Game Reserve

Depart from your hotel in Windhoek at 9:00 a.m., return on day 2 around 6:00 p.m.
Travel time about 2.5 hours on approx. 120 km of tar road. and 60 km of gravel road.
On the way back we visit the handicraft market in Okahandja.
The Erindi Game Reserve is located southeast of Omaruru and, with around 71,000,00 hectares, is one of the largest private game reserves in the country.
Erindi means “the place of water” in Oshiherero, the Herero language. There are more than 15,000 animals here. Unfortunately, some of them have become rare worldwide and are now on the list of threatened and protected species.
Such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, spotted dogs, white and black rhinos and elephants.
You will go on an approximately 3-hour game drive in an open safari vehicle in the afternoon and the next morning.
From the restaurant terrace you can watch hippos and crocodiles. There is a constant coming and going of animals quenching their thirst and elephants often take a bath here.
