After arrival at the Hosea Kutako International Airport you
will be welcomed by a team member of Red Earth Safaris.
You will be assisted to pick up your rental car (Toyota Hilux Dbl cab 4×4 including 2 spare wheels, or similar) and you will be handed your travel documents and Infopack.
We will give you handy info and answer your questions regarding your stay. Then your Safari starts!
Today’s route leads you to the central east of the country, through the town of Gobabis. You will be staying at the Kalahari Bush Breaks Lodge, situated approx. 87km east of the town.
Here you can chill after your long journey and enjoy the typical local Afrikaans style and charm, of the place.
Driving time approx. 3 hours on about 300 km tarred roads.
Included: Meet and greet, rental car, travel documents, Namibia map, adapterplug, insect repellent, Kalahari Bush Breaks DBB.
After a hearty breakfast you proceed to the Botswana border. Please ensure your Visa procedure is pre-arranged if necessary (depending on your country of residence. For some countries no pre-arrangements are needed, these travelers can pay for the Visa at the border directly). Please click on travel info on our website for more information.
In Botswana you will drive to the Palm Afrique Lodge in Ghanzi.
Driving time: approx 3 hours on about auf 250 km tarred roads.

From Ghanzi you drive further north to Maun and continue on the A3 tarred road further East to the beautiful Leopard Plains Camp.
In the afternoon you may choose to go canoeing, joining a game drive, go hiking or just relax by the pool.

Today we recommend a visit to the Makgadikgadi National Park. You can join a guided tour or drive yourself if you prefer that.

Today’s route leads you further east to the idyllically situated Nata Lodge.
A guided drive to the salt pan is highly recommended!

From Nata you proceed north to the Chobe Safari Lodge at Kasane
The lodge is situated on the banks of the Chobe River which forms the border between Botswana and Namibia here.
A sundowner boat cruise will provide you with unforgettable moments of spectacular wildlife sightings!

The majestic Victoria waterfalls are awaiting your visit today! Take part in a guided tour to this magic place and experience the Falls after a short walk through the park. Please ensure your Visa regulations are in order to visit Zimbabwe!

Guided day trip to VFA
Today you will drive through Chobe National Park to cross the Chobe River at the Ngoma bridge. This forms the border with Namibia.
You will drive through the Caprivi Strip (recently renamed to Zambezi strip) to Kongola. There you turn south to the new Kazondwe Camp situated on the Kwando River. The Caprivi/ Zambezi Strip is just 35 km wide from north to south at some places, but adds the very special wetlands to Namibia.

After a tasty breakfast you return to Kongola and proceed West to Divundu/ Bagani. Here you turn south towards the Mahangu National Park. The Mahango Safari Lodge is your destination, situated just outside the Park on the banks of the Kavango River.
During the afternoon we recommend a self- drive tour into the Mahangu National Park. Here you can take great pictures of hippos, buffalo, elephants and a huge variety of antelope and zebra. The majestic baobab trees are sure to fascinate keen photographers too.

The day starts with a special breakfast boat cruise.
During the afternoon we recommend a drive to the eastern shore of the Kavango River to the Buffalo National Park situated in the Bwabwata National Park. If you do not feel like driving your self, you can also book a guided tour at the lodge.

Todays route leads you via Rundu towards Grootfontein. You will stay at Guestfarm Wildacker run by Karolin and her family.
During the afternoon you can chill by the pool or explore the farm on a hike.
Driving time: Approx. 4,5 hours on about 320 km tarred and about 60 km gravel roads..

Today is reserved for your own leisure! You can join a game drive, go hiking, relax by the pool or book a drive to Grashoek- to visit a San (Bushmen) village.

Today’s drive is a little longer. You drive through Grootfontein, Otavi, Otjiwarongo, Outjo and Omaruru to the beautifully situated AiAiba The Rock Painting Lodge.
The Erongo mountains used to be an active volcano for about 20 million years. In the meantime the crater walls collapsed and offer a mystic view of huge granite boulders today!
This landscape has special meaning for the San people, who settled here about 200- 5000 years ago.
They have left many rock paintings in this area which invite you to interpret them in your very own way.
Enjoy a hike to some of the rock art sites, or join a guided tour.
Driving time: Approx. 6 hours on about 450 km tarred and 100 km gravel roads.

Today you will cross the oldest desert in the world- the Namib and proceed to the old colonial town of Swakopmund, on the Atlantic coast. Beautiful colonial architecture invites you for a stroll through the town.
You will stay very centrally at The Delight guesthouse.
Driving time: Approx. 2,5 hours on about 60 km gravel and about 120 km tarred roads.

This day is reserved for your preferred activity. Please choose from the following:

Swakopmund offers a huge variety of excellent restaurants.

Today you leave the coast via Usakos, Karibib and Okahandja and travel to Okapuka Ranch, home to a huge variety of wildlife including white rhino, giraffe, crocodile, black and blue wildebeest, impala, waterbuck and lots more! Here you can enjoy a game drive, some hiking trails and the swimming pools.
Travel time about 4 hours on approx. 330 km tarred roads.

Slowly but surely your holiday is ending.
We recommend a visit to the Arts & Crafts Centre in Windhoek before you proceed to the Hosea Kutako International Airport. Remember to drop off your rental car at the airport before you check in for your flight home!
